Transfer PDay!!

Wowowowow so much to say and not enough time!! This week was pure craziness so I'll try to get everything in Haha.

This week was my companions last week and we had a lot of activities and things she wanted to do before she left. She had departures on Friday and so I got to spend the day with Sister Simmons and Sister Smith who also had companions leaving. It was super fun and I got to go to the lemon grove area and meet some new people.

On Saturday we did karaoke with the Gaspar family and the elders serving in our ward. The Gaspars are soooo amazing and have now started coming back to church. They told us that many more karaoke nights are in the future Haha. The Gaspars each chose a song for us to sing. Sister Rooks got Let It Go, Elder Rhodes got Your Man (hahaha), Elder Sammons got Despacito (also hahaha) and I got How Far I'll Go from Moana. Oh boy was it hilarious.

Sunday was also super fun but sad because we knew that Sister Rooks was leaving and that probably some of the Elders were too. Every other Sunday we have dinner with Hermano Soto with the elders in our ward and another companionship in another ward. Super fun but it was sad to know it was Sister Rooks last one.

Monday was also another crazy day. The zone leaders suggested that the whole zone go on a hike really early in the morning before opening the transfer doc. Well, it ended up getting rained out and cancelled so Sister Rooks and I decided to go to IHOP with Hermanas Reyes and Lupercio. Good timesssss (they had unlimited pancakes).
IHOP- also waiter brought me my pancakes without my actual meal and we waited forever and he just gave me my meal for free yay!

TRANSFER DOC: This transfer I'm TRAINING. Super excited but also nervous and this will definitely put my Spanish to the test. WISH ME LUCK. I'll write more about her next week because I won't meet her until later tonight!!

Anyways I am super excited for this transfer!! I love you all and I hope everyone has a fun week!!

Carne asada fries...YUM!

This Saturday we had Raquels baptism. SOOOO SPECIAL. Raquel was soooo happy to be baptized and right after she did a little happy dance. I'm not one to cry happy tears BUT I'll admit I shed a tear. It was such a privilege to be able to help Raquel along this path and seeing her be baptized was the cherry on top. I'm so excited to see her progress in her faith even more.

After the baptism we headed to old town and got to experience some pioneer fun. The commemoration of the Mormon Battalion arriving in San Diego happened and there were wagon rides (courtesy of the elders), doll making, biscuit making, marches, and more. SOOOO FUN!!

I opened the mazapan without it crumbling.

I'm really sorry for how short this is but I hope everyone has a great week! I love you all!!
